Our mission is to promote the development and free use of innovative, effective, web-based learning products that encourage and support worldwide student learning.
In 1997, the founders of Study.Net Foundation launched an Internet service company that enabled educators to identify and deliver academic course material
directly to students. Over the next 12+ years,
it became apparent that there was a shortage of free, truly effective learning content designed to leverage
an (increasingly available) online learning environment.
In response to this significant need, Study.Net Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, was recently formed to facilitate the development and
direct delivery of "Learning Fundamentals" — a collection of
self-paced, college-level lessons made available online to students
throughout the world at no charge.
Our funding is used to financially support the development of Learning Fundamentals - educators and qualified content experts are invited to become authors of one or more of these products and apply for a Content Grant.
As part of our mission to encourage the use on digital learning products, the Foundation also uses a small portion of its funds to help promising students, with demonstrated financial need, purchase required online course material.
